If you are considering selling your property in the near future, the question of engaging a brokerage firm to assist you or selling on your own may arise. You can sell your home yourself. To do so effectively however, you should be able to answer an unequivocal YES to each question on this checklist. As you go through these items, remember that Jeff & Jerri Tessing are skilled in all of the following areas.
1. Price....Do I have sufficient data to set the correct price for my property?	Yes	No
2. Legal....Can I: author the sales contract, recognize insincere offers, inadequate deposits, unreasonable contingencies, be aware of current laws and policies?	Yes	No
3. Negotiations....Can I handle the natural conflict of interest when working directly with the buyer, trying to protect my own interests versus my desire to accommodate theirs, do I know enough about the buyer's method of financing to avoid adverse impact on my offer?	Yes	No
4. Marketing....Do I have a complete understanding of real estate marketing, am I able to have my property placed on the Multiple Listing Service accessed by every REALTOR in the area, have my property listed nationally on REALTOR.com, advertised in Harmon Homes Magazine, post a full page of photos on my own website?	Yes	No
5. Qualifying Buyer's....Can I professionally screen and handle innumerable inquiries, differentiate between sightseers and actual buyer's, examine buyer's credit?	Yes	No
6. Financial....Do I have expert knowledge of the current mortgage offerings including FHA, VA, 1st Time buyers programs, conventional loans, etc..?	Yes	No
7. Availability....Will advertising deadlines, contract negotiations, showings, contract preparations, settlement procedures inconvenience my social or business schedule?	Yes	No
8. Safety & Security....Am I willing to have complete strangers roam unattended through my home without knowing their identity or motives?	Yes	No
